Stanley completes hardware restructuring in New Britain - Brief Article

Stanley, New Britain, Conn., will eliminate about 95 hourly positions and move hinge, latch and bracket production from its New Britain, Conn., facility to China. Tape rules and knives will still be made at New Britain. The company also said it would transfer about 230 employees from its Access Technologies division to New Britain upon the sale of its Farmington, Conn., facility. In the last 18 months, Stanley cut its staff by about 2,200. (10/5)
