Msn Messenger Upgrade

MSN Readies MSN Messenger 6.0, Radio Plus Service

Mary Jo Foley

Microsoft is crowing that it has reached the 100 million customer milestone for its MSN Messenger product. So far, however, the MSN team has offered scant details on what to expect with MSN Messenger 6.0. Luckily, our pals at Neowin have the dish. They say the upgrade, due to launch on July 17 — and ultimately as part of MSN 9.0— some wager will include new personalization, Webcam support and more built-in games. The Neowin folk also say Microsoft will take the covers off a new, subscriber-based MSN service, MSN Radio Plus, as early as this week. If you subscribe to MSN 8, you probably won't have to pay; if you don't, MSN Radio Plus will cost $4.99 a month, or $29.99 yearly, Neowin claims.
